Summer and Winter jobs in Colorado Springs



With 6 months in a year that can be considered as summer, Colorado Springs is known for all the fun outdoor activities that you can perform. This is also a great time of the year to start looking for jobs in Colorado Springs. With a number of fascinating summer jobs that open up for the season, you can consider applying for some of this interesting positions – 

1.       Summer Program Attendants – With a number of parks in the region which open up for outdoor wall climbing, miniature golfing and even bungee jumping, this is a great time to consider applying for the position of an attendant. As a program attendant you could get the most of your time outdoors by attending to tourists and guests who visit the park during the holidays and on weekends. 

2.      Food Servers - If you aren’t exactly the outdoorsy kinds, you will also be able to apply for the position of a refreshment or food server. With a number of tourists visiting these parts for hiking and a range of other activities, working as a server at a lodge is a great way to spend your summer working.

3.      Housekeeping – You can also consider working in the housekeeping department where you need to make sure all the maintenance and janitorial staff is doing their job right.

4.      Excursion Counselors – For the lovers of adventure sports and the outdoors, working with a camp is a great way to get paid to have fun. Take your guests out mountain climbing, teach them wilderness skills, fishing or simply take a photography lesson, there are a ton of activities you can pursue as an excursions counsellor. 

5.      Trail Crew Leader – The job of a trail crew leader isn’t easy. You along with your team will be expected to work on public land across all seven counties of the Front Range. Expect to spend about 2 -3 weeks on a work site. As a leader, you will be responsible for the safety of your members. 

While this region offers a ton of summer jobs, winter jobs in Colorado Springs primary involve waitress, serving, bar-tending, or doing library shifts. You could also consider other indoor jobs such as working at old age homes or rehabilitation centers.
